Principles

BÜREM services are based on the following fundamental professional ethical principles:

Confidentiality: All personal information is protected with confidentiality. No personal information is shared with anyone without the individual's consent; this includes family members, faculty, or other individuals and institutions. The only exception to this principle is when there is a risk of harm to the individual or others. In such cases, the individual will be informed that the information has been shared.

Competence: Those providing counseling services at the center have completed their degrees of expertise in their fields, continue to develop themselves, and work under professional supervision and solidarity. Students contributing to the services must be under supervision.
